Three months ago, I was that guy. My sedan died on King Street at rush hour. No warning. No check engine light. Just dead. In the middle of traffic. Honking from behind. Sweat on my forehead. Pride in the gutter.
I pushed that car two blocks to a side street. Legs burning. Arms shaking. Late to work. Angry at the world. Paid $800 for a repair that didn't even fix it fully.
That was my breaking point.
Next week I bought my Oneyard. No transmission to blow. No radiator to leak. No engine to seize. Just a battery, a motor, and two wheels.
Last month, I saw another guy pushing his car on King Street. Same spot. Same sweat. Same pain. I rode past him. Felt a twinge of guilt. But mostly? Relief that it wasn't me. And gratitude that it'll never be me again.
